Samsung S5230 Tocco Lite and the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic are two mid ranged touch screen phone specially designed to allure general section of the mass. Their modest capabilities will surely attract the targeted buyers.
The new Samsung S5230 Tocco Lite’s 3 inches TFT resistive touch screen can display 262K colors at 240 x 400 pixels resolution. The music player of Samsung S5230 can play MP3, WMA, AAC files and doesn’t offer any special features as such. But being an XpressMusic phone, the Nokia 5800′s music player renders Album Graphics Display, Music Selection, Playlist, 8 Band Graphic Equalizer, Volume Key, Bass Booster, Stereo Widening, Loudness, Integrated Stereo Speakers, Media Bar Touch Screen etc. The music player supports MP3, WMA, WAV, RA, AAC, M4A file formats.
The Samsung S5230 Tocco Lite supports only Bluetooth with A2DP, USB, GPRS and EDGE technologies while data sharing and connectivity has been made easy through 3G HSDPA, Bluetooth with A2DP, HSCSD, WLAN Wi-Fi, Micro USB, EDGE and GPRS technologies on Nokia 5800. WAP 2.0, XHTML and HTML Internet surfing techniques are common on both the rivals but the Nokia 5800 additionally includes RSS feeds as well. Samsung S5230 doesn’t serve any navigation system at all whereas Nokia 5800 is loaded with GPS navigation system along with A-GPS support and Nokia Maps 2.0 Touch application.
The standard Li-Ion 1000 mAh battery of Samsung S5230 Tocco Lite provides 8 hours of talk time and 350 hours standby time. And the given Standard Li-Ion 1320 mAh(BL-5J) battery of Nokia 5800 XpressMusic can allow 8.8 hours of GSM & 5 hours of WCDMA talk time or 406 hours of GSM and 400 hours of WCDMA standby time. As well as 35 hours of non-stop music playback time is also expected.
