The Nokia N96 is a superbly designed 3G smartphone that features a dual opening mechanism and is destined to take forward the Nokia’s flagship. And the Samsung i900 Omnia is a very sophisticated touch screen phone packed with full of fantastic technologies.

1.With the very unique dual slide opening technology, the Nokia N96 is truly a “one of its kind” mobile phone. The QVGA LCD TFT display is a large one to measure 2.8 inches and supports up to 16M colors and the screen resolution is 240 x 320 pixels. Its dimensions are 103mm tall, 55mm wide and 18mm thick & its total weight is 125 grams. On the other hand, the i900 Omnia comprises of a massive 3.2 inches TFT touch screen with 65k colors at 240 x 400 pixels resolution making for really clear, bright and colorful viewing. Dimensions are 112mm x 56.9mm x 12.5mm and weighs 125 grams.
2.Both the phones are loaded with 5 mega pixel camera but Nokia N96 has got better functionalities than the other one. N96 sports Carl Zeiss Optics Tessar Lens, Dual LED Flash, Auto Focus, Auto Exposure, Video Streaming, Video Stabilizer, Video Light etc. features. While the Samsung i900 comes with Auto Focus, Flash, Image Stabilizer etc. facilities. Video calling is supported by both of them.
3.Media playback facility of Nokia N96 has been completed with a music player supporting MP3, WMA, WAV, RA, AAC, M4A music files and WMV, RV, MP4, 3GP video files are accepted by the given video player. On the contrary, Samsung i900 Omnia gives support to MP3, AAC, AAC+, WMA, OGG, AMR music files as well as DivX, XviD, WMV, MP4 video files through its music player and video player respectively.
4.Nokia N96 sports a document viewer and the Samsung i900 brings along the Pocket Office attribute.
5.Browsing technologies are same as both these gadgets have got WAP 2.0, X-HTML, HTML browsers along with RSS reader facility. Additionally, Nokia browser is also presented on the Nokia N96.
6.Both the phones are equally compatible for data sharing and connectivity as they possess same technologies like 3G HSDPA, HSCSD, Bluetooth with A2DP, WLAN WIFI, USB, GPRS and EDGE.
7.While Samsung i900 Omnia is a Windows mobile phone that runs on Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional operating system, the backbone of Nokia N96 is Symbian operating system.
8.Both these gadgets are laden with GPS navigation attribute along with A-GPS support but the N96 is a bit advance to sport Nokia Maps application as well.
