Acer is specially into making high end phones while Motorola caters to every genre. The presented Acer F900 is a truly amazing touch screen phone while the Motorola MILESTONE carries a touch sensitive screen as well as a QWERTY keypad and this thing plays an upper hand for this one over its competitor.
The Acer F900’s TFT resistive touch screen is amazingly huge to count 3.8 inches. The screen can recognize handwriting and carries Widget-based user interface. This allows 65K colors at 480 x 800 pixels resolution. On the other hand, Motorola MILESTONE is a bit behind the other one as its TFT capacitive touch screen is of 3.7 inches but it can allow up to 16M colors at 480 x 854 pixels resolution. This one carries a video player and MP3 player for media playback while its competitor is smart enough to support MP3, eAAC+, WAV, WMA9 music files and MP4, H.263, H.264, WMV9 video files through its music player and video player.
WiFi WLAN, 3G HSDPA, HSUPA, Bluetooth with A2DP, Micro USB (Mini in case of Acer F900), GPRS and EDGE data sharing and connectivity technologies are commonly available on both of these contenders. Browsing technologies are also similar as both of them carry HTML web browser. GPS navigation is also a commonly presented feature while the Acer F900 has been assisted through SiRF Star III chipset functionality & the Motorola Milestone has got A-GPS support.
